Sue Leonard Allard, 74, of Carlsbad (formerly Manhattan Beach), CA, passed away on August 27 at Scripps Memorial Hospital (Encinitas).

She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Gladys Leonard, her brother John Leonard, her Husband Tom Allard (of 47 years), and is survived by her son Michael Allard, daughter Katherine (Allard) Martinez, son-in law Dustin Martinez, grandchildren Aubrey and Brody Martinez, brother Charles (Spike) Leonard (wife Jan), brother Joe Leonard (wife Sandy) Nieces Betsy Watson,
Peggy Doerwaldt, Sarah Leonard, Amy Leonard, and nephew Samuel Leonard and numerous life long friends.

Sue proudly taught in the Manhattan Beach Unified School District (Grandview & Meadows Elementary Schools) for 37 years (1969-2008). Following her long teaching career, Sue volunteered as a Parks & Recreation Senior Commissioner and was active in the Older Adults program through the City of Manhattan Beach.

A celebration of Sue's life will be held from 11 to 2pm Saturday, October 9 at Joselyn Center (1601 N. Valley Dr, Manhattan Beach). Dress is casual. Per L.A. County regulations, masks will be required for all indoor activities.
