Patricia Dorothy Cardone
July 15, 1936 - July 28, 2021
On July 28, 2021, Patricia Dorothy Cardone, loving mother of two children and grandmother of five, went home to be with the Lord at the age of 85.
Pat was born on July 15, 1936 in
Hartford, Connecticut, the middle child to John and Mary LaBrie. She received an AA from Hillyer College in 1956 and worked as a legal secretary for 40 years at Hughes Aircraft and Continental Development in Los Angeles, California. In June of 1957 she married Francis Samuel Cardone. They moved to California in 1957 where they raised two children, Frank and Cheryl.
Pat was a devoted lover and follower of God. She adored showing her love for her friends and family by baking for them, loved puzzles, was an avid reader and Jeopardy fan, and couldn't be defeated in Trivial Pursuit. She was the consummate mother and grandmother, extremely devoted to supporting her family in any way she could, including attending every event in which any of her grandchildren participated. Pat was uniquely selfless and focused her life on the needs of others. She was widely known for her sweet disposition, gentle kindness, and universal compassion, and instantly made a positive impression on anyone with whom she came in contact.
Pat is survived by her children Frank (Robyn) and Cheryl (Michael), and her grandchildren Kate, Michael, Benjamin, Vincent, and Giuliana.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, August 10th, 2021 at 11:00 AM at South Hills Church in Manhattan Beach.
In lieu of flowers, donations to The American Red Cross (a charity Pat
supported often) are encouraged.

Sincerest condolences to her family whom she loved with all her heart. I had the extreme pleasure of working with Pat for over 20 years. I loved her dearly. She was always available to lend an ear and offer prayers of support. She had a quick wit that had me regularly in stitches. We had many good times. She was one of the kindest people I've ever met. I'm convinced she will be at the gates with Peter to welcome her friends and family that go after her. I will miss her for the rest of my days. Till we meet again my friend. XOXO
