Laura was a long time resident of Manhattan Beach and Redondo Beach; graduating from Mira Costa High School in 1958. She held various jobs at TRW, Princess Lodge in Alaska, and was a noon supervisor at Meadows Elementary School after she retired. Some of her favorite hobbies included scrapbooking, doing crossword puzzles, reading novels, crocheting, and visiting with her neighbors.

She is survived by her brother David (Linda) Nichols, her children RaShell (Rich Griese) LeMay, Robert LeMay, Vickie Wible and Tim Goodwin. She will be missed by her grandchildren Miranda Kooly, Wible grandchildren: Lance, Tara, Jordan, and Sydney, Griese grandchildren: Adam and Camille, and her 3 great-grandsons.

Service to be held in February at American Martyrs Church.

I remember taking Grandma Penny and Jordan to lunch at Chili's. Jordan pushed Grandma around in her wheelchair like she was trying out for a wheelchair competition team. Grandma just smiled and loved every moment. You could see the love she had for Jordan and the bond they shared.
