Dorothy (Dot) Ringer passed peacefully while surrounded by loved ones in her Paso Robles home on Wednesday October 17th, 2018.
She was born in Englewood, New Jersey in 1938 to Mother Edith Canfield and Father Walter, to be joined two years later by younger sister Carol. She attended Cornell University, transferring to Penn State where she graduated with a BA in 1960. She was married to Warren Ringer, and later to Michael Winters. From 2002 on, Dorothy lived in Paso Robles as a loving companion of James Lockshaw.
Dot had a highly successful career in technology and business, co-founding multiple companies, winning recognition and awards and serving as a mentor and role model to women engineers and others.
Throughout her life, she expressed her love of art through countless personal projects and involvement with the Paso Robles and Palos Verdes art associations. She pursued her art with intention and diligence across multiple mediums. Her achievements include artwork exhibited in an International Airport and multiple awards in juried art shows.
Her energy, strength, passion, dedication and spirit touched all those who knew her. Dorothy is survived by her loving family, including her four children and three grandchildren.
