Brian was born & raised in Redondo Beach. He was 45 when he passed away unexpectedly in Laguna Niguel, CA.

Brian graduated from St James School, he then attended Redondo Union High School, Palos Verdes High School and graduated from West Torrance High in 1991. He was an extremely talented pitcher and was awarded a full baseball athletic scholarship to Loyola Marymount University. He graduated from LMU in 1995. He began a career in graphic design, working for over ten years at Mattel, then launching his own successful graphic design company "My Big Day Designs", specializing primarily in wedding invitations, which he operated until his death.

In 2010, Brian married Emery McGarvin, after many years together. In August 2014, he and Emery adopted a newborn infant they named Ireland Olivia. Ireland's arrival created an even more loving family environment. After love for his family, Brian loved watching and playing baseball and fishing equally.

Survived by widow, Emery; daughter Ireland Olivia; mom & stepdad Jan Jenkins [Harry]; father Mike Fitzgerald, sister Erin Bitcon [Chris]; ; brothers Jon & Garrett, grandmother Betty Fitzgerald; aunts and uncles, Bill & Kathy Barry, Steve & Geri Barry, Diane & Tony Cole, Barbara Francis, Diane Fitzgerald Watson [Mike], Marlene & Wayne Schumaker, Janene & Scott Ulrich and numerous cousins.

His unexpected demise has left a huge void in the lives of his family and friends. He will be sorely missed and is loved by all for his kind and compassionate spirit.

A Memorial Mass will be, Sat, July 28, 2018 at 10:30 AM at St James Catholic Church in Redondo Beach. Reception to follow.
