James Taylor Goss Obituary
September 22, 1936 ~ October 21, 2016

Jim was born in Seattle and given up for adoption. His adoptive mother died when Jim was 18 months old. His father did not provide a stable childhood, but Jim found a real home with the Oakland family.

After high school he moved to California and enrolled in Pasadena City College. Jim transferred to Cal Poly Pomona earning a degree in Business Administration. He also joined the Naval Air Reserves.

Jim met Darlene Harney in March of 1971 on a ski train to Sun Valley, Idaho and they were married six months later on September 11th.

He worked for Westates in Chatsworth before starting his own business, Prime Electro Products in Manhattan Beach in 1976.

At age 40 Jim was told that he was adopted. With open birth records in Seattle he was able to learn of his birth parents and find and meet his two older sisters.

Jim loved to travel and visited 55 countries and 47 states. He was proud to be a Shriner, a member of the Radio Pioneers and Virginia Country Club.

He was a wonderful husband the best dad ever to Ryan and Susanne and Father-in-Law to Mike Henderson.

Later in life Jim found much joy in his three granddaughters, Sadie, Lyla and Shea. Family was everything to Jim.

Jim was truly a self-made man, and a friend to all, as he would say "Keep Smilin'!"
